William Mims
William E. Mims, Principal with Mims Architecture PLC, has
been a Registered Architect since 1974, and is currently
licensed to practice in 25 states in the United States.
During his years of practice, Mims has sought to better
understand and apply the design and planning principles of
Frank Lloyd Wright, while striving to produce his own
original and unique designs. Much of his work reflects
characteristics and aesthetics learned from the work done of
Taliesin Architects and Frank Lloyd Wright. In 1998, Mims
was honored to be featured in a cover article for Interiors
and Sources magazine, as a result of his role at Taliesin.
During the 42 years Mims has been associated with Taliesin
Architects, he has assisted them with numerous projects,
including many original FLLW designs and for many years
officially represented them in the Southeastern part of the
United States.
He has completed several hundred
design and planning projects under his own name, in addition
to the numerous projects for Taliesin Architects.
He has lived
and worked in the Nashville area since 1976 and has been
registered in Tennessee for 31 years.
During this time
he has been involved in a construction business, an interior
design and facilities management company, in addition to his
professional practice and association with Taliesin
Architects and The Frank Lloyd Wright School of
Architecture, where he served for several years as an
Adjunct Faculty member.
